PTA Newsletter #042: Back-to-School Night Thursday + Fall Festival

Hi Northeast families! October is almost here, and it's a big one. Back-to-School Night is this Thursday, Oct 1, 6 to 7 PM. Tickets are on sale for the Global Fall Festival on Saturday, Oct 17, and Film on the Field is back the night before. Also inside: Picture Day, the new mum pickup date, and every music date for the year from Mr. Dey.
Travel the world without leaving Grove Street.
The 6th annual Global Fall Festival celebrates harvest festivals from around the world, including Día de los Muertos, Eid, Chuseok, Diwali and the Mooncake Festival. It's our Global Magnet School at its best, and every ticket supports the Northeast PTA.
Back-to-School Night is Thursday.
Meet your child's teacher, see the classroom and hear what the year ahead looks like. Thursday, October 1, 6 to 7 PM, at Northeast.
Picture Day, then a movie on the field.
Film on the Field is back, and this time we're watching the smash hit family film Hoppers. Join us on the school field at 6 PM for movie magic. We're starting the popcorn earlier this time! If it rains, the rain date is Friday, Oct 23.
Mum pickup moves to Saturday, October 10.
The nor'easter pushed back the mum sale and the Fifth Grade Car Wash. Mums will be ready for pickup or delivery on Saturday, October 10, and you can pick yours up at the car wash, 9 AM to 12 PM.
Already ordered? You don't need to do anything. Your order is saved. Haven't ordered yet? The sale is extended, so there's still time. Every order supports the graduating 5th grade class: Moving Up, class trips and the yearbook.

Our music teacher, Mr. Dey, sent over the whole year of performances. Concerts at school are in the gym. They're on the PTA calendar too, so if you subscribe, they'll show up on your phone. Thank you, Mr. Dey!
