First PTA Newsletter for this school year – Week of 9/7/26
Week of September 7
Hi Northeast families, and welcome back! We hope the first days of school have been smooth ones. This is the first newsletter of 2026–2027, and it's a full one: our first PTA meeting is this Thursday, the mum sale is open, and there are a few new things on the website worth bookmarking.
What's coming up
View full calendar →Join us for the first PTA meeting of the year.
Come meet the 2026–2027 board in person, hear what's planned for the fall, and tell us what you'd like to see this year. Whether you've been to a dozen meetings or never been to one, everyone is welcome. It's one hour, and it's the easiest way to get a feel for how the PTA works.
We'd love to see you in the building. Meeting other Northeast families face to face is half the point, and it's a lot easier to ask a question or raise a hand in the room. If you truly can't make it in person, a Zoom link is available.
Please join (or rejoin) the PTA for 2026–2027.
PTA memberships reset every school year, so even if you were a member last year, you need to join again. Your membership funds events, gives you a vote, and supports everything the PTA does for our kids.

Fifth Grade Car Wash, Saturday, September 26.
Our 5th graders are rolling up their sleeves. Pull up to the front of Northeast between 9 AM and 12 PM, get the car sparkling, and grab your mums while you're there.
The ASE fall schedule is coming soon.
After School Enrichment is back this fall. The class list and registration dates will be announced shortly, and popular classes fill fast, so keep an eye on the newsletter and be ready to sign up the moment registration opens. New this year: 2026–2027 PTA members get early access to registration before it opens to everyone. Join the PTA to get first pick.
Should I leave earlier today? Check the new traffic page.
We built a live "Getting to Northeast" page for drop-off and pickup. It checks current traffic on the main streets around the school, along with road closures and weather, and gives you a plain answer: normal, a little slower, or delays. It updates every few minutes during the morning and afternoon windows. Roads only, so it can't see where a bus is, but slow roads usually mean a slower bus too.

Welcome to a new year at Northeast. We're excited to get going, and we hope to see you Thursday in the building. Thank you for reading, and for being part of this community.
Warmly,
Your Northeast PTA Board
